To Whom Much Is Given, Much Is Expected -Mp To BECE CandIdates.



Member of parliament for Abuakwa North Constituency who doubles as the deputy minister of education in charge of Technical And Vocational Education And Training (TVET) has on Monday 14th September, 2020 visited BECE Candidates at their examination centres in the constituency ahead of their final examinations.
It is expected that, one thousand four hundred and forty eight (1,448) students from fifty seven (57) public and private schools in Abuakwa North are writing the examinations at Ofori Panin SHS and WBM Zion SHS centres.

The honourable MP admonished the candidates that, "To whom much is given, much is expected" so they (candidates) should gather courage, put all anxiety aside and write the papers in order to come out with flying colours for the Nana Akufo-Addo led NPP government has spent a lot in their feeding and provision of personal protection equipment (PPE).

"We are admonishing them to do their best because the Bible says, unto whom much is given, much is expected. Even in the mist of COVID 19, we brought them back, we gave them all the protocols they needed in addition to that one hot meal, so we are admonishing them to do their best for we are well prepared to welcome them into the free SHS and much depends on them" Hon Twum-Ampofo mentioned.


Hon Gifty Twum-Ampofo said, COVID 19 pandemic makes this examinations unique as compared to the previous years and she is satisfied with all the protocols employed by the authorities to at the examination centres.

"This BECE is a bit different from all the ones they have written, different because of COVID 19. For COVID 19, the sitting arrangements have also changed, so in the language of teachers and WAEC, the sitting plan have changed in that the students have to be spaced out within the range of 1.5 to 3 metres to ensure that, there is no close contact.
Again we are also here to testify that, all the protocols the schools have to observe i.e veronica buckets, soaps, tissues are in place.
In addition to that, these are our own children and we here to encourage them,urge them on and to admonish them to do independent work to avoid examination malpractices" Hon Gifty Twum-Ampofo.


The honourable MP was in the company of Hon Owusu Twum-Ampofo, municipal chief executive for Abuakwa North, Mrs Abena Gyamerah, municipal education director, and the press.
