The matter was reported to the Police at Ipaja Division. They moved in to retrieve the corpse and subsequently deposited at the mortuary for autopsy report.
However, the death became suspicious after the Police asked for the details of the late Ayuk and the hotel management was unable to provide any; even no phone was found in the room to contact his family while no record of his details was equally found in the hotel’s ledger book which contains the names of lodgers.

As at now, there was no means to properly identify him or to contact his family due to the negligence of the hotel manager, who failed to get his details before he lodged in the hotel.
